A painter, engraver, and sculptor, he developed a profoundly personal body of work that expanded the boundaries of informalism through the innovative use of materials such as burnt wood, straw, drums, and found objects, integrated into large assemblages and three-dimensional murals. From 1957 onwards, he progressively abandoned figuration to delve into the material-symbolic abstraction that would define his artistic language.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp data-start=\"1072\" data-end=\"1333\"\u003eGuinovart was an extraordinarily versatile creator, working in painting, drawing, engraving, sculpture, theatrical set design, and tapestry.
