Collection: Isidre Tolosa

Born in Barcelona in 1966, Isidre Tolosa began his journey in the visual arts in the late 1990s, consolidating a solid career fully devoted to the field of sculpture from 2004 onwards. Rigorously trained in modeling and carving noble materials, Tolosa is currently in his stage of maximum creative maturity, positioning himself as one of the most suggestive, rigorous, and unique three-dimensional proposals on the current contemporary scene.
Isidre Tolosa's work revolves around an audacious conceptual and poetic challenge: stripping matter of its intrinsic rigidity. Through an impeccable technical mastery of marble, stone, and iron, the artist manages to simulate fluid, elastic, organic, and malleable textures. His renowned "liquid stone" series or his meticulous books carved from stone blocks play with visual irony and paradox, transforming geological heaviness and hardness into lightness, movement, and pure visual poetry.

With a constant presence in the art circuit, Tolosa's work is a regular fixture at benchmark contemporary fairs such as Art Madrid. His projection and conceptual solidity have been endorsed by major collecting institutions in our territory; proof of this is the inclusion of his pieces in the permanent collection of the prestigious Fundació Vila Casas, as well as in prominent private collections nationally and internationally that seek a constant dialogue between avant-garde craftsmanship and contemporary discourse.
