Artist's book
Special, large-format edition dedicated to Joan Miró, published by Enciclopèdia Catalana and directed by the poet, essayist, and art critic Vicenç Altaió.
This meticulous edition brings together, in a single set, a large-format volume and a study book that delve into the close relationship between Miró's work and 20th-century Catalan poetry. The project collects the artist's collaborations with prominent poets such as J. V. Foix, Joan Salvat-Papasseit, Josep Carner, Carles Sindreu, Joan Brossa, Joan Perucho, Salvador Espriu, Miquel Martí i Pol, and Pere Gimferrer, among others.
The work constitutes an exceptional compilation of books and projects in which Miró integrated painting, drawing, engraving, and poetry, demonstrating his permanent dialogue with Catalan literature and culture.
The edition is limited to 1,500 numbered copies and is presented in an elegant slipcase that contains both volumes. The large-format book includes 318 pages and 215 illustrations, while the study book has 288 pages and 250 images.
