Artist's book
La Celestina is an exceptional artist's book edition published by ARTIKA Books in collaboration with the Succession Picasso, which brings together the graphic universe of Pablo Picasso and one of the fundamental works of Spanish literature, written by Fernando de Rojas.
The publication presents a selection of 66 engravings by Picasso belonging to the famous Suite 347, created in 1968, in which the artist explores themes such as desire, passion, human relationships, and the human condition through a graphic language of great expressive freedom.
The set consists of two large-format volumes. The first reproduces the text of La Celestina accompanied by Picasso's engravings; the second, dedicated to the study of the work, gathers texts by specialists who delve into the relationship between literature and the artistic imagination of the Malaga-born creator.
The edition also stands out for its meticulous presentation and the quality of its materials. The 33 × 33 cm volumes are presented in an elegant aluminum sleeve and a handcrafted case covered in Antibes blue fabric, conceived as an integral part of the artistic and editorial experience.
An edition of special interest for collectors, lovers of graphic work, and those passionate about the dialogue between literature and modern art.
